Yemeni, Iranian presidents extend condolences to Haneyya

Ismail Haneyya, the premier of the PA caretaker government, on Wednesday received a phone call from Iranian president Ahmedi Nejad in which he extended his condolences over the murder of 19 Palestinians on Tuesday at the hands of IOF troops.

Nejad, who accorded special condolences to Hamas leader Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar over the martyrdom of his son Hussam in the carnage, said that the “Zionist massacre” was encouraged by US president George Bush”s visit to the region where he gave a green light to occupation to expand aggression and target civilians.

Haneyya thanked the Iranian head of state for his call and briefed him on the tragic and painful conditions of the Palestinian people.

Haneyya also phoned the Yemeni president, Ali Abdullah Saleh, and explained to him details of the massacre.

Government sources in Sana”a said that Saleh condemned the Israeli “barbaric offensive”, and affirmed that the practical response to the repeated Israeli aggressions is strengthening unity of the Palestinian people and bypassing differences.

The president underlined that he would exert strenuous efforts with the USA, EU and the world community to pressure the Hebrew state to halt its aggressions.

Saleh extended condolences over the murder of Hussam Al-Zahhar and other Palestinians in the IOF raid.
