Agriculture ministry: Setters systematically ruin harvest season in WB

GAZA, (PIC)– The ministry of agriculture in Gaza Strip has charged the Jewish settlers in the West Bank of systematically ruining the Palestinian harvest season in the West Bank.

The ministry in a statement on Tuesday said that in their latest attack the Jewish settlers burnt around 1000 dunums of Palestinian lands in Nablus district cultivated mainly with olive trees.

It noted that Israeli occupation forces were providing escort and protection for setters in their crimes, pointing out that the soldiers confronted citizens who rushed to rescue their lands in Nablus and blocked fire brigades from reaching the burnt fields.

The ministry charged that the settlers were wiping out the crops in entire fields.

It also lashed out at the Israeli recent measures aimed at forcing the migration of inhabitants of various areas in the Jordan Valley in a bid to expand settlements at the expense of Palestinian farmers” lands.
