Profiles of Some of MB Members Referred to Militarily Courts

Profiles of Some of MB Members Referred to Militarily Courts

President Mubarak’s decision, as a military governor, of transferring the case of the Muslim Brotherhood No. 963 of the year 2006 to a military court after the Criminal Court acquitted and ordered an immediate release of the detainees topped by Khairat Al Shater confirms that the regime is primarily concerned with getting rid of its opponents whatever the price and means, considering 2007 a showdown year for liquidating any one opposing both the constitutional amendments and the scenario of Tawreeth (transferring power from Mubarak Sr. to Mubarak Jr.).

Ikhwanweb presents here profiles of some public figures referred to a military court upon a decision from the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak .

What is noticed is that most of these figures which have been transferred to a military court are very successful in all academic and economic fields. Also, some well-known figures who are living abroad have been included, like the well-known businessman Youssef Nada, Ghaleb Himmat, sheikh Fathi Al Khouli and Ibrahim Al Zayyat; they have been seemingly referred to gain US support and not to face US and western pressures because of the return of military courts, the exercises of the Egyptian regime that included cases of torture, the retreat of democracy and human rights in Egypt, specially under alleged panic of Islamophobia.

This view is confirmed by the western silence towards the decision of the military court and torture cases in Egypt, while there is an international-US pressure for releasing Ayman Nour, we demand his release along with all political detainees in Egypt; but there is a complete silence from the West towards what is happening against the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, including detentions, freezing assets and military courts.

The following are profiles of some of the figures referred to military courts to show this regime’s repression, intimidation in addition to its harming the future of Egypt and the Egyptians.
