Report: Team B describes Sharia as threat to America

 An article in Foxnews.com describes America as being “under attack" by a non-violent "stealth jihad,” A  written  report sponsored by the Center for Security Policy is flaunted by a panel of national security analysts who allege that  fundamentalists are trying to bring Islamic law known as "Sharia" to the United States.

 The report stresses that the so called violent threat posed by Al Qaeda and other terror groups is nothing compared to what the report describes as the threat from jihadists supposedly wanting to reform the American society from within.

The report provides what it sees as a designed comprehensive and articulate “second opinion” on the official characterizations and assessments provided by the United States government. It argues that the study is the result of months of analysis, discussion and drafting by a group of top security policy experts concerned with the preeminent totalitarian threat of our time: the legal-political-military doctrine known within Islam as “Sharia.”

"This form of warfare includes multi-layered cultural subversion, the co-opting of senior leaders, influence operations and propaganda and other means of insinuating Sharia into Western societies

The Muslim Brotherhood is listed in the report as the most significant, and influencing organization trying to achieve that goal, expressing its concerns to America’s vulnerability than any marquee successes by the so-called "stealth" jihadists.

Authors modeled this work on an earlier “exercise in competitive analysis” which came to be known as the “Team B” Report. The 1976 document questioned the then-prevailing official U.S. government intelligence estimates of the intentions and offensive capabilities of the Soviet Union and the policy became known as “detente” that such estimates ostensibly justified. The report illustrates that;

  Sharia is firmly rooted in Islam’s doctrinal texts, and it is favoured by influential Islamic commentators, institutions, and academic centres (for example, the faculty at al-Azhar University in Cairo, for centuries the seat of Sunni learning and jurisprudence)

Sharia has been, for over a half-century, lavishly financed and propagated by Islamic regimes (particularly Saudi Arabia and Iran), through the offices of disciplined international organizations (particularly the Muslim Brotherhood); and

  Due to the fact that Islam lacks a central, universally recognized hierarchical authority (in contrast to, say, the Roman Catholic papacy), authentic Islamic moderates and reformers have an incredibly difficult task in endeavouring to delegitimize Sharia in the community where it matters most: the world’s Muslims.

A press conference held on Wednesday September 15 cites Rep. Trent Franks "Just as we cannot say all Muslims hold a certain view based on the actions of a radical fringe … it would be unwise to discount the malicious intentions of those that wish to subvert American law.

The study which was  written by “TEAM B”, a panel of 19 people, headed by Lieutenant General William Boykin former deputy undersecretary of defence  and Lieutenant General Harry Edward Shyster former  Director of Defense Intelligence Agency called on the government to be more observant  by threatening Sharia-promoting imams with investigation and monitoring the contents of school textbooks.
