Zagazig University issues unjust orders to 200 students

In an unjustified and illegal action, the chairman of Zagazig University has taken repressive measures by issuing a decision to dismiss 11 students enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering for two weeks, 10 others enrolled in the Faculty of Veterinary Science for two months, two students in the Faculty of Commerce and another student in the Faculty of Arts for a full academic year. It is worth mentioning that these arbitrary measures will deprive students of the first semester exams.

Over 84 students have been unjustly referred for investigations, while 36 others have been referred to disciplinary boards.

Meanwhile, the university is witnessing ongoing clashes with students; the most recent occurrence was a police campus assault on university student, Someyya Ashraf.
