White House Gathers Information on Alexandria’s Church Bombing

 Michael Mounir, spokesman of Hand-in-Hand for Egypt, has received calls from White House officials inquiring about the criminal blast that took place outside the Al-Qiddissine (The Saints) church on Saturday, killing 21 people and wounding 97 others.
 
In an exclusive statement for Al Youm Al Sabe3, Munir said that Paul Monteiro, Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison, told him that the President Barack Obama "strongly condemns" the suicide attack, asserting that "Those behind it targeting faithful Christians do not show respect for human life and must be brought to justice, expressing his hope that the Egyptian authorities will hold those who participated in the brutal attack accountable for their actions."
 
Michael Mounir added: "The White House officials give top priority to finding those responsible for the attack on Alexandria’s church  and are eager to get as much information as possible about the blast and ongoing efforts exerted by the Egyptian authorities in this regard, underlying their willingness to provide full support against planned terrorist attacks."
 
Munir concluded his remarks by calling on Muslim and Christian citizens to exercise self-restraint but he blamed the relevant authorities, denouncing the unjustified silence on what he labelled as " instigators of violence" in Egypt who, in their statements, do not care about the country’s other partners.
