Ashri: Freedom and Justice Party Persistently Calls for National Dialogue More Than Three Times

Mukhtar Ashri, Chairman of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP)’s Legal Committee, denied the FJP had anything to do with a formal complaint made against opposition figures, accusing them of plotting to illegitimately oust the recently-elected regime.

Earlier, the Egyptian public prosecutor appointed an investigating judge at the Court of Appeal to take over the task of investigating formal complaints filed against a number of symbols and leaders of the National Salvation Front.

Ashri further rejected as false claims that the FJP refused to engage in dialogue with opposition forces, stressing that the party has persistently called for national dialogue more than 3 times.
