Dr. Ezzedin Al-Komi, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of Egypt’s legitimate Shura Council (Second Chamber of Egypt's Parliament), said the junta justice's ruling to dissolve the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) was quite expected from the tyrannical coup regime that loathes strong political parties competing or seeking to spread high principles in the street.

The putschists only allow "cartoon" parties that have no real presence in the street, so as to set up a domesticated opposition similar to those in ousted Mubarak's era.

In a press statement, Dr Al-Komi, leading member of the FJP, said: "The FJP had been frozen and its headquarters shuttered even before the July 3, 2013 military coup, and in fact has no role or any partisan activity on the ground at present. Members of the FJP and the Muslim Brotherhood do their good work not through offices and headquarters, but by engaging the citizens in the street, the mosque and the syndicate – by sharing the citizen's real joy and sorrow.

"Disbanding the Islamist FJP and closing its headquarters will not abolish the enlightened principles its members hold in the highest regard. Principles can not be eliminated by a court ruling, especially with the military-controlled 'honorable' judiciary.

Absurdly, the court argued in its ruling that the FJP violated the Political Parties Affairs Committee's principles. The 'esteemed' Court was not aware of those errors when the FJP won all free, fair and transparent elections conducted after the January 25, 2011 Revolution."

Dr Al-Komi pointed that this same Court ruled one day that the export of gas to the Zionist state was a matter of sovereignty. Thus, it is not at all surprising that it issues such a defective decision. It is the coup's very 'honorable' judiciary.
