Alexandria Muslim Brotherhood Denounces Barbaric Treatment of Borg Al-Arab Political Prisoners
Alexandria Muslim Brotherhood Denounces Barbaric Treatment of Borg Al-Arab Political Prisoners

Criminal coup militias regularly mistreat dissidents held at Borg Al-Arab Prison, with systematic torture, unjustified disciplinary action, and arbitrary bans on foods and water. On Wednesday, they attacked detainees inside a court. These are evidently criminal practices of a fascist putschist regime, which violate prisoners' human rights. They are methods of methodical repression.

The Muslim Brotherhood stresses that bloody junta practices will not be forgotten. The Revolution will exact retribution from all criminals involved in repressing, torturing or violating the rights of patriots and revolutionaries.

Completing the Revolution is the only way. We will not give up the rights of the homeland, the martyrs, the detainees or the wounded.

The group solemnly praises the hunger strike by 200 patriots in Borg Al-Arab Prison in protest against the repressive practices, violations of human rights, bans on food and water, power cuts, and brutal beatings of detainees. Thus are free men and women, always disturbing the oppressors' sleep even if they are behind bars.

The march of the Revolution, by Egyptian patriots in streets and squares across the homeland, and also behind bars, will not be intimidated by the brutality of the oppressors. We warn Borg Al-Arab Prison administration and all those who violate the rights of detainees: the Revolution will establish fair and prompt justice, and will not compromise or reconcile with unjust despots.
