Muslim Brotherhood Condemns Storming of Press Syndicate, Sale of Egyptian Islands
The Muslim Brotherhood condemns the storming of the Egyptian Journalists’ Union by the military junta’s forces and the arbitrary arrest of a number of journalists after their sit-in was dispersed with brutal violence. They were protesting against the illegitimate procedures used by the junta regime to cede control of the Egyptian islands of Tiran and Sanafir.

This brutal aggression against journalists and their union is a new blow to the freedom of opinion and expression. At the same time, this strikes a new blow to the trade union action hijacked, crippled and undermined by the coup regime on its way to effectively turning Egypt into a large prison.

Nothing will stop this junta regime’s reckless adventures and traitorous surrender of sovereign Egyptian territories except a powerful popular revolution by all Egyptians to shake its corners and deter the treasonous gang from continuing its treachery.
