 Muslim Brotherhood Mourns the Death of Sheikh Sadiq Abdul Magid of Sudan 


Muslim Brotherhood expresses its  deep sorrow and sadness as the Ummah lost a prominent scholar and figure, Sheikh Sadiq Abdul
Magid, 91 years, the former Chief of the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan (1991-2008), who passed away on Thursday, 12th of Rajab 1439 H, March 29, 2018, in the Sudanese capital of Al Khartoum. 
 

His funeral was on Friday morning, after a life of jihad on the path to the 'Call to Allah'. He is one of the early founders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan.
 

The deceased was a great writer, and educator. He was the editor-in-chief of the 'Muslim Brotherhood' magazine (1956-1959). He exerted great struggle by his pen and his opinion, demanding the departure of the British colonialists. He was a daily columnist in the Sudanese press, and consequently was jailed, 1969-1972.
 

Throughout his life, Sheikh Sadiq, may Allah have mercy on him, received respect from the politicians, journalists, thinkers, educators and public affairs workers, and many of those who were educated and nurtured from his knowledge.
 

The Muslim Brotherhood as it extends its sincere condolences to his wife, family, his students and his loved ones around the world, asks Allah (SWT) for him the highest place of paradise, and embraces him with the prophets, as well as veracious, martyrs, and righteous ones.
