The Israeli prisons authority (IPA) moved 16 Palestinian female prisoners from Talmund jail to Ramle prison and threw four others in solitary confinement after allegedly discovering a tunnel that was being dug by those inmates to escape prison, legal sources revealed.
The lawyer of the Palestinian prisoner’s club said after visiting the Talmund jail a couple of days ago that the prisoners denied the escape story, describing it as fabricated and meant to impose more quelling measures on the prisoners.
The IPA claimed on 12/9/2006 that two prisoners had tried to escape from prison through digging a tunnel under the tiles of the room number 16 in Talmund jail.
