18 Palestinians, including Son of Hamas Leader, Killed in Israeli Raid
Eighteen Palestinians, including the son of Mahmoud Az-Zahhar, senior leader of the militant Islamist Hamas group in Gaza , have died today morning in Israeli raids in Gaza Strip.
At least 40 other Palestinians, including militants and civilians, were wounded in Today’s raid in Al-Zeitoun area of Gaza Strip, of which five of them were severely wounded and in critical condition.
It’s worth mentioning that Al-Zahhar’s eldest son was killed by the Israeli troops in 2004 in a failed attempt to assassinate the Hamas leader by bombing his house. Today’s raid resulted in the death of Al-Zahhar’s second son “Hossam”, besides the death of civilians and 5 militant Hamas members.
There were reports of heavy exchanges of fire between the Israeli soldiers and Hamas militants.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that there was also an air raid besides Israeli tanks pushing into the suburbs of Gaza Strip firing dozens of missiles.
