The security forces broke into the house of Mohamed Ahmed Gaser, the office manager of the member of parliament Dr. Farid Ismail, but they didn’t find him.
The security services seized also a large amount of books, papers, CDs and hard disks.
This raises to 80 the Muslim Brotherhood detainees from Sharqiya, and the number of detainees is expected to rise, as part of a fierce crackdown that the Egyptian regime is launching against the group nationwide.
In a related context, the prosecution prolonged, on Wednesday, the jail of 20 MB leaders for 15 days.
For his part, Dr. Farid Ismail, MP for Sharqiya told Ikhwanweb that these detentions against the Muslim Brotherhood leaders and members aim at preventing the group and its MPs from resisting the proposed constitutional amendments which will curb freedoms and to prevent it from participating in the upcoming Shura Council elections .
Ismail added that:” The Egyptian regime is leading Egypt to a very dangerous stage and helps in spreading violence in the society to achieve targets of a certain group.
