4 Al-Azhar Science Students to Disciplinary for “Sympathy with Gaza”
The dean of the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, sent 4 students to a disciplinary board on charges of committing a miscondict, drawing the ire of the students after they knew that the alleged misconduct for which they were sent to the disciplinary board was showing “sympathy with Gaza”.
It all started when the students, affected by the tragic incidents facing Gaza residents due to Israeli Occupation Forces, expressed their solidarity with Gazans through delivering speeches before fellow students. All students were affected by their speeches and expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people who are currently under Israeli siege. However, the faculty issued a decision of referring the four students of Al-Azhar”s faculty of Science to a disciplinary board on charge of expressing their view of sympathizing with Gaza.

3-Ashraf Fawzi, A fourth year student
4-Mostafa Salah Abdul Razek, A third year student
They are yet to know the result of the disciplinary board scheduled to be held on Sunday March 1st, 2008.
