4 Al Fayyum University Students Jailed 15 more days
The Higher State Security Prosecution prolonged on Monday the jail of 4 of the eight detained students from Al Fayyum university for fifteen days. It prolonged the jail of 2 of them last Saturday and prolonged the jail of the remaining two last Wednesday Oct, 3rd, 2007, for fifteen days under investigation.
students Mahmoud Ramadan, Mohammed Ramadan and Ramadan Helmi from the Faculty of Engineering and student Mohamed Sayed Abdul Rahim from the Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum appeared before Al Fayyum court of first instance. The prosecution decided to prolong their provisional detention for 15 days under investigation.
Last Saturday Oct, 6th, 2007, students Motasim Salah Youssef, from the Faculty of Social Work and Ramadan Mahmoud Mohamed, from the College of Specific Education appeared before the prosecution which ordered their jail be prolonged for fifteen days under investigation.
Also, files of students Abd Al-Rahman Ragab Arafa, Hisham Mohsen Mohamed Abdul Rahman, Motasim Salah Youssef and Ramadan Mahmoud Mohamed were sent to the competent prosecution in Cairo but these four students are still jailed at Bandar Al Fayyum police station in order to be sent either to Damou prison or Tora prison.
