4 MB Activists Arrested in Sharqiyya, Zaqazeeq

State security forces raided the Islamic Da’wah office yesterday in Sharqiyyah arresting its owner Mohamed El-Zayyat and two others, Abdel-Nasser Abdel-Hamid, a math teacher, and Gamal Mohamed Salem, a teacher, who had been around in the office at the time of the raid.
It is mentioned that El-Zayyat was released less than two months ago after spending around three months in Wadi El-Natron prison.
Eye-witnesses say that four vehicles carrying state security forces had broken into the office seizing a large number of books, audio tapes, and CDs.
In another incident in Zaqazeeq, state security forces, backed by central security forces, raided Fayrouz bookstore Sunday morning seizing a large number of books. Meanwhile, security sources mentioned that orders had been issued for the arrest and summoning of the bookstore’s manager Ali El-Dawy who was arrested at the time of the raid and whose whereabouts remain unknown up to this very moment.
