4 MB Damanhur Education Faculty Students Dismissed

In a serious escalation against male and female students affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), the Damanhur “s Faculty of Education, Alexandria University dismissed four female students for a week starting from Oct, 6th, 2007.

The faculty administration did not notify the four students of the dismissal decision except two days after taking it. The students were stunned by a paper release on Oct, 8th, 2007, announcing dismissing them on charge of distributing a statement among students without taking permission from competent authorities .

The students who have been dismissed are:

Jihad Mostafa Zayed, second year (children dept.)

Ola Mohamed Abdul Hamid, fourth year (children dept.)

Mai Hamed Mabrouk, second year, (history dept.)

Noha Kamel Al Kharadli, fourth year (history dept.)

The female students were stunned by this decision specially that this is the first time in which the faculty board decides to dismiss female students as this was restricted only to male students. All students denounced the new security style adopted by the faculty board in dealing with MB students inside the faculty, confirming that the female students distributed only greeting cards on the occasion of the feast which isn”t illegal. The students saw this as a message from the faculty board that there is no limits in dealing with MB students this semester.
