4 Tanta University Students Arrested On Charge of Belonging to MB

Egyptian security forces arrested 4 university students on charge of belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood.
 
The security forces in Tanta, governorate of Gharbiya, arrested on Sunday four students from the Faculty of Arts, Tanta University, on charge of belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood group .
 
The detained students, Mohamed Qotb Sharmant, Saleh Saad Saleh, Mohamed Helmi and Taher Sayed, have appeared before the prosecution on Sunday evening .
 
For his part, Mostafa Al Ghoneimi, a Muslim Brotherhood leader from Gharbiya, said that this detention is part of the Egyptian regime’s attempt to prevent the Muslim Brotherhood from spreading among the Egyptian society .
 
Al Ghoneimi added that the continuous wave of detentions among students is an attempt to prevent them from joining the Muslim Brotherhood, the biggest opposition group in the parliament, and to curb the activities of the MB students inside universities .
