8 cases of Bird and Swine Flu in Kafr el-Sheikh
Al-Hemiat Hospital in Kafr el-Sheikh held 8 people in quarantine as they were suspected of being infected with the H1N1 (commonly known as swine flu) and bird flu. Those in quarantine include:
Salwa Farouq Mahmoud (16 years)
Amal Mahdi Abul Yazeed (17 years),
Mona Qotb Hamouda (25 years),
Amoura Gamal El-Goweiri (19 years),
Ahmed Salah Ayyad (3 years),
Mervat El-Shenawi (32 years)
Ahmed Abdul Rahman Amer (6years).
The administration of the hospital sent blood samples to the central laboratories in Cairo.
In a related matter, the General Hospital in Kafr el-Sheikh held Sheikh Hussein Metwali (29 year-old), a farmer from Younes Manor in Kafr el-Sheikh following his return from Kuwait since he suffered from high temperature where tests revealed that his blood samples were positive proving his infection with the swine flu.
Meanwhile, Mamdouh Ahmed Qasem from Al-Hamoul Hospital and Hanan Abdel Mohsen Al-Shawadfi from the General Hospital were released from the General Hospital after recovering from the swine flu following their return from Saudi Arabia.
