A Canadian Uni Prevents Students Posters Condemning the Zionist Aggression

Carlton, the Canadian University, has confiscated posters for students calling for organizing an awareness week about the Zionist apartheid, as a part of a students campaign in tens of international universities to explain the implications of the recent aggression on Gaza Strip.
 
The organization of “Students Against the Israeli Apartheid” stated that “this week would include a series of lectures and public events in tens of universities in 40 major cities in the world, from 1-8th March 2009″.
 
The university administration claimed, regarding the confiscation of posters, that “it could be seen as inciting the others to violate the rights protected under human rights laws and it lacks sensitivity to the principles of civil discourse in a free and democratic society”.
 
Students replied to these claims saying that the poster designed by the famous cartoonist Carlos Latov, in which it shows a child being killed by shelling of the aircraft.
This had happened more than 430times during the recent Zionist aggression on Gaza , pointing out to the death of more than 3430 child during the aggression.
 
Confiscation of the posters is considered as a wider pattern of suppression of the academic freedom and the right to free expression in the Canadian universities, specially speaking about Palestine and the Zionist entity.
