A parliamentary questioning the scandal of the elimination of the Banha University Professors.
MB Mohsen Radi, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) parliamentary bloc, has ascertained that he will submit an urgent questioning on the state security’s intervention to eliminate 12 prestigious professors from the ballot lists of candidates for Benha Teaching Staff Club. The elections are scheduled to be held on Monday, November 2, 2009.
Rady revealed during a press conference held by the professors who were eliminated from the nomination’s list that they had lodged a complaint to the People’s Assembly Speaker Dr. Ahmed Fathi Sorour. He strongly condemned the arbitrary action and immediately contacted the President of Benha University Dr. Mohamed Safwat Zahran and expressed strong dissatisfaction over the reprehensible action demanding he immediately intervene. Sorour demanded he end this farce by restoring their constitutional and legal rights. He advised him to withdraw immediately from entering the elections so that his reputation would not be affected.
During the press conference, the professors described the violations practiced against them with the forceful elimination of their names from the list, emphasizing that they would not accept the stripping of their constitutional and legal rights.
