Abu Baraka Calls On Governor To Stop Security Raids Against Bookshops

Dr. Ahmed Abu Baraka, MB MP of Itaai Al-Baroad constituency, demanded the Major General Mohamed Al-Shaarawy, Al-Behera governor, to interfere (according to his security experience and knowledge of our state reality) to end the crackdown on personal properties through the continued campaigns against Islamic bookshops.
The State Security Investigations (SSI) in Al-Behera governorate had stormed Jihad bookshop for Islamic Publication in Itaai Al-Baroad ,and seized all the religious cassettes and 90% of Ramadan Islamic books and publications.
This came after only two days of confiscating the goods of a charitable exhibition for school requirements which is related to an association for supporting orphans in Al-Bahai village.
The SSI had stormed on August 27 both of “Al-Yosr “and “Ghanem” bookshops in Kafr Al-Dawar city, arrested the Directors of the two bookshops ,sent them to the State Security headquarters in Kafr Al-Dawar, and seized most of the bookshops’ contents, especially the tapes and the calendars of fasting in Ramadan.
