Abu Zuhri: Uraikat doctrine reflects frustration of negotiators
Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, on Saturday lashed out at chief negotiator of the PA in Ramallah Sa’ed Uraikat for accusing Hamas of blocking peace in the region.
He told the PIC that Uraikat’s statement incited against the Movement of Hamas and tried to acquit Israel of any responsibility for blocking peace in the region.
He said that it was crystal-clear that Israel is the one blocking all peace settlements because of its refusal to recognize any of the Palestinian people’s rights.
The Uraikat doctrine published in Hebrew daily Ha’aretz reflected the state of frustration that is sweeping the Ramallah team and Fatah faction for failure of the settlement process, Abu Zuhri explained.
He said that the Ramallah team was heading to oblivion unless it openly declared failure of the settlement process and returned to the national option.
The spokesman noted that Uraikat threatened to stop security coordinating with Israel, which proved anew its existence even with the failure of the political settlement process.
