Akef calls for establishing Islamic fund for Jerusalem and Aqsa Mosque

Mohamed Akef, the Chairman of Muslim brotherhood in Egypt, called on Arab leaders to establish an Islamic fund to support Jerusalemite Palestinians against the Israeli campaign of demolishing their homes and deporting them from their holy city in addition to a public fund for the restoration of the Aqsa Mosque.
In his weekly message, Akef warned that occupied Jerusalem is exposed to a Zionist campaign which aims to judaize it and expel its indigenous people, both Muslims and Christians, adding that the world”s major powers conspire with the Israeli occupation authority to carry out this scheme through supporting it financially and politically.
The head of brotherhood underlined that the first duty laid on any Muslim individual is to understand the dimensions of the Palestinian cause and recall the history of the holy city and the Aqsa Mosque.
He called on the Islamic nation to work by all means on stopping the Zionist attempts to judaize Jerusalem and obliterate its Islamic and Arab landmarks and history.
