Al-Aqsa foundation: IOA is fully responsible to damages in the holy city of Jerusalem.
OCCUPIED JERUSALEM- Al-Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage reported Monday January 4, that the section of cave-ins in the main street between the town of Silwan and the Aqsa Mosque has widened significantly as a result of the ongoing Israeli excavations under the town’s roads.
In a press statement published by Quds Press, the foundation held the Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) fully responsible for the consequences of land destruction in the holy city and any damage or harm inflicted on the Jerusalemite people, their homes or the Aqsa Mosque.
The organization said it closely followed up on these cave-ins which surprisingly became 10 meters longer, two meters wider and three meters deeper, noting that there is another collapse in the main street’s sidewalk.
The organization warned that the IOA has tried to spread fabricated information and rumors saying that the cave-ins which happened two days ago were a result of an explosion of underground water pipes or sewers, affirming that Israel can not hide its violations and excavations under the holy city.
It pointed out that, when it initially started to build tunnels under Ein Silwan mosque in 2004, the IOA had alleged that the excavations were carried out to repair sewers, but it transformed the area into a Jewish shrine for tourists.
