Al Azhar Condemns Zionist Occupation Forces Brutal Attacks on Palestinian Protestors

In a statement Friday, Al Azhar condemned the "brutal repression" by Zionist occupation forces against Palestinians protesting the US’s recognition of the occupied city of Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist entity.

Al Azhar reiterated its support of the Palestinian people in their uprising for Jerusalem.

Al Azhar called on the international community, humanitarian and human rights organizations to support the Palestinians in their legitimate struggle for the restoration of their occupied land, condemning "the Zionist occupation forces’ brutal repression against demonstrations and rallies by the Palestinian people."

During clashes with the occupation army, on Friday, four Palestinians were gunned down: two in the West Bank and two in the Gaza Strip, in addition to 367 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Al Azhar hailed what the world capitals witnessed in recent days of "peaceful and civilized demonstrations, rejecting the unjust US decision against Jerusalem and its Arab-Palestinian identity."

Al Azhar also added that this "confirms that, by and large, the conscience of the World lines up with the logic of truth, and refuses to legitimize the logic of occupation and oppression."

For the second consecutive Friday, most Palestinian cities and towns witnessed protests against the US President decision, on December 6, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist entity and to transfer the US embassy  to occupied Jerusalem.
