Al Azhar Grand Imam meets with US Muslim Representative

Pandith indicated that she works with representatives of civil society through US embassies in an effort to improve relations with the Muslim world. She stressed that her work focuses on engaging in dialogue with Muslim youths under 30.

She paid tribute to al Azhar and its symbolic value maintaining that it represents great Islamic reference across the world, hoping that Altayeb would visit the Muslim youths in the Western world.

Altayeb expressed that despite cultural differences, there is no cause for conflict between civilizations, adding that cooperation is imperative.

Pandith confirmed that she had no intention of meeting with any of the MB representatives, in line with stance of the US state department.
