Al Kubaisi Urges Americans To Pressure Administration to Block More Troops to Iraq

Dr. Abd Al-Salam Al-Kubaisi said that US President Bush seemingly  insists on sending more US troops to the quagmire of the war in Iraq although his ex-Defense Secretaries and some of his leaders acknowledged that a military solution is impossible in Iraq.
 
Dr. Abd Al-Salam Al-Kubaisi, a leader in the Sunni Association of Muslim Scholars in told Ikhwanweb that ” US President Bush seemingly  insists on sending more US troops to the quagmire of the war in Iraq although his ex-Defense Secretaries and some of his leaders acknowledged that a military solution is impossible in Iraq. Although the US Democratic opposition, which the US people gave it the lead in both chambers of the Congress in the latest elections, is opposing sending more troops because the Americans hve suffered its pains, the US President still insists on sending more troops under the allegation this is the demand of Iraqis’ representatives, Talabani, Al-Maliki and Al-Hashemi who want to protect themselves and their gains and are representing only themselves.
 
Al Kubaisi said this in his comment on the decision of the US President George Bush of sending 20 thousand more US troops to Iraq.
 
Al Kubaisi pointed out that while the 140 thousand US forces in Iraq failed to achieve his targets from the battle, it is also ruled out that the other 20 thousand soldiers will manage to achieve these targets; “they will actually meet the same doomed fate of their fellow soldiers in the Iraqi territories, although we know that they won’t be killed in the quagmire of Iraq before killing hundreds of thousands of Iraqi innocent civilians”, he said.
 
Al Kubaisi called on the US Congress and the US people to prevent the US President from sending more troops, to make him withdraw the current troops in Iraq to end this lost, failed and flawed war and stop the bloodbath among Iraqi and US peoples and to save these unjustified huge efforts and large sums of money.
