Al-Shater thanks Military Council for his release and calls for further reforms
The newly release deputy chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood, Eng. Khairat el Shater extends his thanks to the junta who responded to calls for his release after suffering numerous health conditions.
Following his release from prison he commended the military for their role in protecting the people during the revolution and called on them to continue in solidarity with the Egyptians in combating corruption which had wreaked havoc nationwide.
Al-Shater expressed his gratitude to the people, the MB and his family who stood by him through the difficult times during his confinement.
He praised the revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia which took place in the Arab countries indicating that the time has come for the world to witness what true democracy was following years of tyranny, oppression and corruption by dictator rulers and their regimes.
