Aljazeera.net Surfers Reject Transferring MB Leaders To Military Tribunal

Surfers of Aljazeera.net expressed their rejection, in an online poll, transferring leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood group to military tribunals.


The poll, appeared on Aljazeera.net between April 26, 2007 to April 29, 2007; the question was: Do you approve referring Muslim Brotherhood leaders to the Military Court-martial?: the voter was required to answer with yes or no.


The two-day poll witnessed a participation of 17600, 15616 (88.7%) rejected this decision of referring them to military tribunals while 1984 (11.3% .) approved this decision.


It is worth mentioning that the decision of the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak of referring 39 Muslim Brotherhood leaders to military tribunals has been widely denounced by international human rights organizations and civil society institutions that considered this unfair decision as a violation to civilians right to stand trial before competent judges .
