Anti-Coup National Alliance Calls ‘Eliminate Poverty and Tyranny’ Peaceful Protest Week

The military junta regime in Egypt is escalating its repressive crackdowns on dissidents, relentless campaigns of arrests, enforced disappearances, extrajudicial executions, fabrication of charges, demonizing the opposition in a systematic way – all in order to suppress free voices, and prevent them from continuing their resistance to the coup. But that will not be! The Revolution continues, and patriotic citizens are still holding on. They will not stop, waver or hesitate until they end military rule.
The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance reaffirms its rejection of the mad price rises and every action that impacts the poor and social justice negatively. The Alliance believes that silence of those affected allow the traitorous murderer to do worse. This murderer will not stop until all Egyptians come out and join the resistance movement ongoing for more than 3 years already, which has repeatedly warned of this economic collapse we are witnessing today, and which has suffered tremendous demonization, arrests and unjust verdicts and sentences in junta courts.
The coup regime has succumbed, as usual, to IMF orders, and imposed value-added tax, to be paid by the poor, while it refuses to impose progressive taxation paid by businesses, not the poor, because there is an unholy alliance between the coup regime and the corrupt – against this homeland and its poor.
To all Egyptians…
The failed Sisi’s coup does not respect the law, the people or any rights. All Sisi cares about is the survival of his gang, the junta now ruining the homeland and impoverish its people, the regime that persists in its vengeful policy in prisons and police stations, the last victims of which are the Maadi driver, the Nasr City student, and the Tora prison detainee, may they rest in peace.
The Alliance underscores its commitment to the rejection of the coup, and its commitment for the January 2011 Revolution and its demands, and calls all Egyptians to take part in a new week of rage entitled "Eliminate poverty and tyranny", within the revolutionary wave "Leave".
All Egyptians must seize the opportunity: Wrest back your rights, and demand retribution for your martyrs. Reclaim social justice and freedoms. Rally around a partnership to lead the country, protected by truly free popular will. Let liberty squares across Egypt chant, once again: "Freedom, human dignity, social justice," without discrimination, exclusion, distrust or militarization.
Hopefully, soon we will all meet up at the Itehadia Presidential Palace, where the time of retribution and justice will be upon us, and we will endeavor to save Egypt and call for stability and development achieved through real justice and legitimate demands.
