2 Muslim Brotherhood MPs Released on Bail

2 Muslim Brotherhood MPs Released on Bail

In a quick development to the case of the Egyptian Members of Parliament, Rajab Abu Zeid and Sabri Amer, detained on Wednesday afternoon, both MPs have been released on Thursday after on 10000 pounds ($1700) bail on every one of them.

Noteworthy, the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) parliamentary bloc held on Thursday afternoon a press conference to study the formation of a parliamentary delegation to go to the Inter-Parliament Union in Geneva, after the security forces detained on Wednesday afternoon the two parliamentarians and searching their houses in an unpleasantly offensive manner.

The MB parliamentary bloc has discussed later referring the case of arresting both MPs to other international parliamentary bodies, like the Arab Parliament, the Euro-Mediterranean parliament and the African Parliament. It also demanded parliamentarians to urgently hold an emergency meeting for the Human Rights Committee in the Egyptian People”s Assembly to discuss this escalation.

For his part, Dr. Hamdi Hassan, spokesman for the MB parliamentary bloc welcomed the release of the release of both Abu Zaid and Amer. However, he wished that the MPs Had been released without any bail. MPs affiliated to the ruling National Party don”t face any legal action although they commit moral crimes, according to him. “We find that MPs affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood are detained only for their political affiliations”, adds Dr. Hamdi Hassan.

Hassan said that releasing both NPs is a kind of temporary relief, but it is still aggravating in Egypt . The MB leader added that this boring security policy against the Muslim Brotherhood is actually adopted against all sections of the Egyptian society, not only members of parliament.
