Egyptian security forces has prevented Gamila Sadek, a human rights activist and delegate of the Arab Commssion for Human Rights (ACHR) from monitoring the 21stt session of the military tribunal trying Muslim Brotherhood (MB) leaders.

Gamila Sadek is a Syrian lawyer and a member of the bar association, Aleppo branch.

She is a human rights activist, a former member in the Syrian Communist Party, a member of the Board of Directors of the National Organization for Human Rights in Syria and she works in the legal affairs office and the office of children and women"s affairs and she is an activist in the Committee for the Revival of Civil Society and a member in the Syrian Women Association and a member in the committees for defending women.

For her part, Gamila saw this prevention as a part of a policy that aims to push the military tribunal in a specific course away from any human rights supervision so that such measures inside the court wouldn"t be exposed .

These exercises confirm that we are facing a politically motivated issue, Gamila confirmed.

The military tribunal is holding on Tuesday its 21st session for trying 40 Muslim Brotherhood (MB) leaders, after they were transferred to it according to a presidential decree in the case no. 2 of the year 2007 .

It"s worth mentioning that the defence team managed in the previous session to prove that the experts committee used sequestered items that were opened and they wrote a report that contains false information. The experts committee even abandoned the report of the technical engineering committee for evaluating the real estates and the companies, and it even used untrue figures.

The defense demanded the court not to rely on the report in the ruling because it contains many mistakes and contradictions and it disagreed with testimonies of some witnesses testimonies in investigations of the prosecution.
