75 students of Al-Azhar University staged a sit in on Tuesday protesting at the security service"s flagrant interventions inside university, the latest of which was hen he guard chief in the Faculty of Medicine held a student in a lecture room in front of some students and he threatened him with keeping his name in the state security records for life. The students considered it a flagrant aggression on the university sanctity and an aggression against students right inside the campus.

The students protested against their faculty administration"s not taking any action to back their legitimate right of living in the dorm, especially after the dorm administration confirmed that they have been excluded by the security service for their political activities inside the university.

The students voiced in a statement to Ikhwanweb their rejection to any security intervention in Egyptian universities.
