Muslim Brotherhood Demands Gaza Blockade Lifted

Mohamed Mahdi Akef, the chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group, demanded in a statement issued by the MB Executive Office on Sunday morning, Jan, 6th, 2007, Islamic and Arab governments and the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) work for ending the blockade imposed on the Palestinian people and opening all crossings so that the Palestinians can led their normal life.
 
The statement described the suffering that Gaza people facing as “continuously increasing to reach the point of a slow death. Every body saw how far they are suffering and how far they are humiliated during the crisis of the stranded pilgrims.
 
“The Arab rulers inability showed up clearly in their full silence towards what is happening in Palestine and their attending the Annapolis conference and approving its decisions without condemning what the Zionist enemy is committing on a daily basis of killing our sons in Palestine, demolishing houses and establishing settlements”, said the statement.
 
The statement praised” the Palestine people”s steadfastness for more than sixty years against the Zionist schemes and we should appreciate, admire and support them.”
 
The statement demanded also peoples of the Arab and Islamic Nation, popular and political movements and civil society institutions and all freemen to exercise of pressures on governments and regimes to work for reaching an inter-Palestinian reconciliation, lifting the unjust blockade and reaching out to the Palestine people with aid and support and back the heroic resistance against the Zionist conspiracies
