The Hamas Movement has underlined that the media campaign launched by some papers against the Movement would not succeed in smearing its image or weakening the Egyptian and Arab sympathy with it.

A press release issued by Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri on Monday in the name of Hamas charged that the media campaign was launched by some "venomous" agents through fabricating a series of lies, incitements and allegations to undermine Palestinian resistance forces especially the Hamas Movement.

The campaign targets aborting the popular sympathy with Hamas, he said, adding, "It is a shame that at a time when the Palestinian people are the target of a streak of murder and annihilation those Zionist-leaning papers would justify the occupation"s policy of siege and crimes".

Hamas affirms that such a "hateful campaign" will not succeed in fabricating the truth and smearing Hamas"s bright image, he stressed, adding that relationship between the Palestinian people and the Arab people in general and the Egyptian people in particular was historical and noble and would not be affected by such campaigns that run contrary to the interests and strategy of the entire Arab and Muslim Nation.
