A Palestinian woman dies at an IOF roadblock in Tulkarem

A Palestinian woman in her fifties died on Thursday on her way to hospital while waiting to be allowed to cross an IOF road block to the north of the city of Tulkarem in the northern West Bank.

The woman from the village of Deir al-Ghsoun near Tulkarem suffered a heart attack and was on her way to Thabit Thabit hospital in Tulkarem in a car which carried the patient to the road block, on the other side of the road block an ambulance was waiting to transfer her to hospital.

IOF soldiers manning the road block barred the patient from crossing it to reach the ambulance resulting in deterioration of her condition and she died at the road block.

Strict restrictions on movement of Palestinians between various villages of the district of Tulkarem have been imposed for the past ten days, virtually cutting off all villages from one another and from the city of Tulkarem.
