Khudari lays cornerstone for memorial to siege victims in Gaza

MP Jamal Al-Khudari, the head of the popular committee against the siege, laid Saturday morning the foundation stone for the memorial to the siege victims in the Katiba square, west of Gaza city, stating that the memorial would bear witness throughout history for the injustice and the oppressive siege of the Israeli occupation.

“Today we stand before the gravest and most sensitive issues affecting the lives of humans because the siege claimed the lives of dozens, and victims fall daily before the eyes and ears of the world until their number has become 99 victims so far,” MP Khudari told reporters.

The lawmaker added that thousands of Palestinian patients in Gaza are expecting to be numbers in the list of the siege victims because they are banned from traveling for medical treatment and deprived from receiving appropriate medication.

Khudari underlined that the committee would continue working diligently to facilitate the travel of patients and for breaking the siege until the Palestinian people could be able to live in freedom and dignity.
