Dawn State Security Raids targeting MB Leaders in 7 Governorates
As part of the government’s crackdown against the Muslim Brotherhood(MB) affiliates, Egyptian state security forces have attacked dozens of MB houses in the governorates of Alexandria, Sharqeya, Monufiya, Qaliubiya, Damietta, Daqahlia, and Al-Behera

As part of the government’s crackdown against the Muslim
 Brotherhood(MB) affiliates, Egyptian state security forces have
 attacked dozens of MB houses in the governorates of Alexandria,
 Sharqeya, Monufiya, Qaliubiya, Damietta, Daqahlia, and Al-Behera today
 (Wednesday Feb., 27th) at dawn.

 Names of the 3 MBs arrested in Sharqeya:
 1.     Yasser Rushdi, an engineer in Zagazig city council and director
 of decorating Zagazig project.
 2.     Dr. Mohamed Zaki Ali, a specialist in Al-Qenayat hospital.
 3.     Mohamed Fawzi, an employee in Zagazig university.

 Names of the 3 MBs arrested in Behera:
 1.     Mohamed Swidan, chairman of the MB administrative bureau in Behera.
 2.     Sobhi Al-Tahhan, MB leader in Koum Hamada city.
 3.     Essam Al-Gharabawy, a teacher.

 Names of the 3 MBs arrested in Damietta:
 1.     Asaad Zahran, chairman of the MB administrative bureau in Damietta.
 2.     Dr. Ali Hassan El-Dai, an oculist and former-chairman of
 Damietta municipal council.
 3.     Dr. Saad Emara, the official MB spokesman in Damietta and chief
 of the coordination committee among professionals syndicates. He’s
 also a leading member in the committee in solidarity with the
 Palestinian people.

 Names of the two MBs arrested in Daqahlia:
 1.     Tal’at Al-Shennawi, chairman of the MB administrative bureau in
 Daqahlia.
 2.     Hussein Sab’.

 Names of the 3 MBs arrested in Alexandria:
 1.     Dr. Hassan Al-Prince.
 2.     Mostafa Sharbatli.
 3.     Mohamed Kamal Khamis.

 Chairman of the MB administrative bureau in Qaliubeya, Mohamed
 Abdul-Mo’ti Al-Gazzar, was arrested in Qaliubeya governorate.

 Names of the 4 MBs arrested in Monufeya:
 1.     Abul-Fotouh Afifi whose age has exceeded 85.
 2.     Nagib Al-Thareef, an engineer.
 3.     Ashour Ghanem.
 4.     Moawwad Badawi.

 Ahmed Al-Beily, deputy chairman of the MB administrative bureau in
 Damietta said in an exclusive statement to Ikhwanweb that such arrest
 campaigns have been expected long time ago.  The municipal elections
 are underway, and there are plans to exclude MB candidates, though
 election fraud is almost certain, he added.

 However, Al-Beily maintained that such detentions would never affect
 the MB’s decision to take part in the coming municipal elections of
 April 8, and it would never prevent potential MB candidates from
 running.
