Egyptian Opposition Parliament members have declared their total refuse today of the government¢s decision concerning extending the emergency law.

The Egyptian Parliament have witnessed tense disputes today among the Prime minister and independent and opposition members, including members of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) Parliamentary bloc, after passing a Presidential decree of extending the emergency law in Egypt for another two years beginning from June 2008 till May 2010.

MB Parliamentary bloc, along with other opposition members, have released a statement today morning declaring their full refusal of extending emergency law in Egypt, confirming that Egypt is not in a war situation and is not threatened by any great danger, believing that extending such law is not necessary at all.

More than a protest was staged in Egypt refusing such Presidential decree. Today¢s protest was hampered by State security forces who arrested a number of protestors including political figures.
