Muslim Brotherhood Condemns Tripoli Bombing

The Muslim Brotherhood expressed its concern over Wednesday”s bombing in the Lebanese city of Tripoli that killed 11 at the heals of a vote of confidence on the new unity government.

“We denounce the attack,” said Mohamed Morsi, Chairman of MB Political Department, “and we hope it will not undermine the formation of the unity government.”

“Killing innocent civilians is a heinous crime and can never be a solution to political disagreements.”

Morsi added that Lebanese factions should deal with the crisis with “prudence” and that they must not allow violence to disrupt the proposed normalization of diplomatic relations with Syria, which have been strained since the 1940s.
