The Interior Ministry decided Thursday to detain five Muslim Brotherhood members from the Nile Delta city of Al Mansoura although they were acquitted by Misdemeanor Court last August 27.

The five were arrested on August 2 as it is said they were wanted since the Local Councils elections.

They were presented to the Prosecution on the same date and accused of joining the Muslim Brotherhood. Prosecution ordered their detention for 15 days, and after the term elapsed they were presented to the State Security Prosecution which rearrested them for another 15 days. Lawyer of the detainees appealed the prosecution decision, and a session was scheduled for them on August 27 before the Misdemeanor Appeals Court in Al Mansoura, which acquitted them.

After they were acquitted, the five MB detainees were kept in custody in the state security headquarters until it issued an arrest warrant for them on Thursday. The detainees are Mohamed Talaat, Ahmad Aboloyoun, Ehab Abolkheir, Fouad Gomaa, and Sayed Abdelrazek.
