Students of "Resistance Movement" rallied today November 3rd at the University of Helwan against the NDP 5th annual convention.

There have been clashes and arguments between them and other students who were motivated and escorted by the university guards; they encroached upon the demonstrating students and tore their anti- NDP convention banners.

The university guard police assaulted against the demonstrators and denied their access to a symposium organized by the university professors as well as the dean.

On the other hand, Mahmoud Sami (member of the April 6th movement and a commerce student at Ein Shams University) was released after being kept for more than ten hours at the university guards" office. He was arrested during distributing a statement and an invitation for attending a ceremony on November 4th as a day for "In Love of Egypt".

April 6th students decided to hold a conference equivalent to that of the NDP; however they were impeded by the security interference, so they decided to hold in online instead. A group of the opposition activists will be participating in that conference titled "Sneaking Minority".

Further, Cairo"s university hostel administration excluded 15 MB affiliates from the hostels despite being well-qualified for residency. They include Ahmad Abdul Qawi (student of Journalism and Media) whom students rallied against his exclusion due to blogging. Mohamed Mohey (MB spokesperson at Cairo University) expected the excluded number would increase next days as a continuation of violation and atrocities against the students.
