MB MP for the Nozha and Maraj districts Magdy Ashour posed a pressing question to the Egyptian PM and Minister of Interior regarding the escape of nine prisoners from the Madinat El-Salam Police Department.

Security sources had revealed in press statements Tuesday that the prisoners had escaped at dawn after breaking a window in the detention room, sneaked through it into the department, then jumped across a two-meter high fence which led to the streets.

In his statement to Ikhwanweb, Ashour emphasized that this was a new scandal added to the list of scandals of the Ministry of Interior that verifies the extent of the security system"s fragility and inability to control security conditions in the midst of its absorption in combating political activists and peaceful protests against the existing regime"s policies.
