Four Participants Of MB Electoral Conference Imprisoned, Other Five ordered Arrested

Prosecution of Faqous in Sharqyia governorate ordered 26 MB affiliates released and other four were imprisoned for 15 days pending investigations due to participating in the annual conference of Dr. Farid Ismail (member of the Muslim Brotherhood parliamentary elections).


Those ordered imprisoned were Mohamed El Zayat, Sayed Abdul Qadir, Gamal Abdul Wahhab, and Sayed Isa. Prosecution issued arrest warrants against five Brotherhood members; Mohamed El Hawari, Amgad Abdul Aziz, Gamal Hassan, Abdullah EL Zahwi, and Abu Oubaida El Aqid.


MP Farid Ismail told Ikhwanweb that the audience suffered from assaults during the conference in which he was reviewing his achievements of last three years and said such practices are against constitution and laws since security forces denied the access of the people to the conference.


He asserted his right of gatherings in which he might discuss the people”s demands and interests. He said he filed a complaint to Dr. Fathi Soror; speaker of the PA, and described the assaults the Brotherhood and opposition parliamentarians encounter while the NDP exploits all the state facilities and youth clubs during the 5th convention without any legal basis.


He called for protecting the members of the parliament and helping them surmount impediments.


Security forces of Sharqyia governorate stormed into a public conference organized by Brotherhood MP and assaulted 30 of them.
