Khudari calls for forming international pressure groups to end siege on Gaza

MP Jamal Al-Khudari, the head of the popular committee against the siege, called during a rally held in front of the Israeli embassy in New York for forming  pressure groups in all parts of the world in order to force Israel to end its unjust siege on the Gaza Strip.

During the rally, MP Khudari explained the disastrous effects of the Israeli siege and the closure of crossings on all aspects of life in Gaza, highlighting that the health sector was one of the most affected by the siege.

The lawmaker elaborated that the Israeli siege claimed the lives of 256 Palestinian patients including children and women, pointing out that the popular committee established a memorial to these victims of siege in Gaza in order to commemorate them and to bear witness to the injustice of the Israeli occupation.

In the same context, MP Khudari stated Wednesday in a press release received by the PIC that the Israeli closure of Gaza commercial crossings for the ninth consecutive day is a sign of weakness not strength.

The lawmaker expressed solidarity with the UNRWA whose relief activities became threatened with stoppage as a result of the closures, calling for allowing in food supplies so that the UNRWA could distribute them to thousands of impoverished Palestinians in Gaza

He also warned that the Gaza bakeries would stop operating during the coming hours because of gas depletion.
