Member of the MP Parliamentary Bloc Mohsen Rady has submitted an interrogation to the Prime Minister Ahmad Nazif and Fayza Abu Elnaga the Minster of International Cooperation on the Egyptian government’s failure in getting rid of the mines left after the World War in fifth of Egypt’s lands in northern coast and the eastern desert.

Rady has accused the Ministry of International Cooperation in failing in removing of the mines in ten years despite the grants and assistance of tens of millions which all got spent on consultants, meetings of committees, bonuses and strategies.

The MP added in the explanatory memorandum for questioning the grants obtained by Egypt, which has been wasted and not benefited from. Grants came from Italy, Britain and Germany and are in total millions of dollars.

There is also a Chinese grant to remove the mines of the northern coast, and the grant is 70 grant detector and 10 electronic exploder in addition to training as well as a grant of a million and a third million dollar by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) which was all spent on training besides grants from USA.

Rady states to Ikhwanweb that the army leaders are very angry because of transferring the file from them to the Ministry of International Cooperation, explaining that when the file was under the control of the army, more than million mines were removed from the region because the army has the capacity and capability to do so.

Rady added that the interrogation he submitted has caused great anger and frustration of the Ministry of International Cooperation as the Ambassador Fathi El Shazly called him saying that the Ministry is doing its best to solve this crisis, but Rady replied saying “you got the file since ten years and you didn’t even remove a single mine” then he concluded his speech saying that they will meet on the day of discussing the interrogation in order to determine the offender.

Rady pointed out that next Sunday, Dr. Fathy Sorur (Head of the Parliamentary) would give him the floor to speak and would ask for urging the date of discussing the interrogation and determining where the defect stems from.
