Judge Madhoun: We will work vigorously to prosecute Israeli war criminals

Ziyauddin Madhoun, a Palestinian judge and the head of the central committee of documentation and prosecution of war criminals, stated that the committee would be working vigorously to put Israeli war criminals on trial according to international law, stressing that Israel committed the most heinous and biggest massacre in history.

In an exclusive interview conducted by the PIC, Madhoun said that the severity and enormity of the Israeli crimes in Gaza led to growing international and local efforts to help the Palestinian people in their judicial and legal battle.

The judge added that the Israeli crimes also prompted the Palestinian government headed by premier Ismail Haneyya to establish this committee which are aimed to document and gather evidence about Israeli war crimes, prosecute Israeli war criminals before competent local and international courts, and coordinating with and supporting all efforts that work in this regard.

The judge underlined that committee has so far documented about 250 crimes and will prosecute Israeli war criminals in the countries whose legislation allows to take legal action against them.
