Egyptian Security Forces attacked the British convoy, Sunday evening, after the convoy refused passing through the Israeli Awja crossing and Egyptian security forces refused to allow the life line convoy to pass through the Egyptian Rafah crossing, resulting in a demonstration of 300 foreigners, most of them are British, in Al-Arish.

During the demonstration, security forces has attacked demonstrators and slightly injured a number of them and shattered a glass of a vehicle of the covoy, leading members of the convey to accuse the Egyptian regime of being a repressive regime.

These developments comes after MP George Galloway (Leader of the Convoy and Member of the British House of Commons) announced in a press conference in Al-Arish on Saturday, the life line convoys’ refusal to the entrance of half the convoy through the Israeli Awja crossing and the other half through Rafah Crossing border.

Its is worth noting that Egyptian security forces had prevented popular reception for the convoy which headed from London on February 14th.

NDP exclusively was at the reception of the convoy which was loaded with humanitarian aid for people in Gaza.

The life line convoy started from Britain and crossed Belgium, France, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and stopped in Egypt.
